AIMS & OBJECTIVES

internationally to:

·         to relieve human suffering at the time famine and disease epidemics, natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, draughts

·         to relieve war victims and third world poverty.

·         to provide deprived areas around the world with clean drinking water and sanitation.

·         at the time of disasters to provide emergency: immediate aid food, shelter, clean water, medications, vaccinations, hospitalisation, clothing, education and long-term reconstruction.

·         to make our results available to the general public.

·         strive and put an end to human poverty and suffering.

·         provide the opportunity to offer a better quality of life

Locally in rotherham & south yorkshire :

·         organise events, festivals that promote community cohesion and integration
within Rotherham and South Yorkshire

·         encourage and support inter-faith links and good race relations amongst the
diverse communities of Rotherham

·         promote volunteering opportunities, fundraising, encouraging active community involvement

·         develop community based health and sport activities and provisions that
improve the health and wellbeing of individuals

·         deliver new and innovative learning programmes that improve skills and help
towards access to employment

·         raise awareness of social issues and empower local people to have a voice
through a democratic process

·         work alongside statutory, voluntary and private sector to achieve the above
aims and objectives of WorldAid
